Hi, I’m DR. ROBERT KIGHT.

I’m 69 years old. I grew up in rural coastal Georgia, where I watched people reach a certain age and gradually stop doing the things that made them feel alive. I never wanted to accept that as the natural course of aging. So I didn’t. I ran my first marathon at 60 while working full-time and caring for my wife through more than a decade of illness.

Then, within a few years, my wife of 35 years, my father, and my lifelong mentor of 50 years all passed away. There were plenty of reasons to stop. But life doesn’t stop asking you to live just because life gets hard. So I kept moving.

That became more than a way through difficult seasons. It became a way of life. I believe we have more say in how we age than we often realize. We can keep moving, keep growing, keep engaging, and keep finding reasons to see what comes next. That’s the Movement Mindset.

Today, I bring that mindset to older adults through speaking, fitness training, and simple challenges designed to help people stay active, engaged, and purposeful through every chapter of life.

Age is automatic. Aging is up to you.
